Montgomery Zoo’s Spring Animal Enrichment Day and Magical Creatures Education Program Event Details

Are you looking for a fun and educational activity to do with your family this weekend? Look no further than the Montgomery Zoo’s Spring Animal Enrichment Day!

On May 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to witness the animals at the zoo engaging in a variety of creative and stimulating activities, all centered around the theme of video games. From Macaws playing Zelda to Tigers exploring Mine Craft, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

The goal of Animal Enrichment Day is to replicate behaviors that animals experience in their native habitat. While the animals at the zoo receive enrichment activities daily, this event allows the public to see these activities in action.

But that’s not all! In addition to Animal Enrichment Day, the Montgomery Zoo will also be hosting its Spring Magical Creatures Education Program from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Children and families will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with animals from magical movies like Harry Potter and The Hobbit. Activities include a classroom lesson, live animal presentations, and even the chance to take home special prizes.

Admission for the event is $34 per child for non-members and $20 per child for Montgomery Zoo Members. Accompanying parents and older children (13 years and up) can attend for $18 per person or for free if they are Montgomery Zoo members. Advance registration is required, so be sure to sign up by Friday, May 17th at noon.
